In the Osnabrück – Emsland – Grafschaft Bentheim IHK district, around 65,000 companies from industry, trade and the service sector provide over 440,000 jobs and apprenticeships.
Family-run, medium-sized companies in particular have ensured that our location has developed at an above-average rate in recent years. The number of employees here has risen by almost half over the past 20 years. This puts us in third place among the 79 IHK regions in Germany.
Many successful and well-known personalities are based in Osnabrück, Emsland and Grafschaft Bentheim. Some of these protagonists tell us their stories.
